Lidar and 3D Modelling for Stockpiling

Using drones to monitor stockpiles makes it easy to measure the volume and compare this to previous surveys.  With the use of LIDAR, we do not need to use ground points which means the drone survey can be done without prior ground point set up.  This can reduce the time taken to make stockpile surveys from hours to minutes. Stockpiling is common in mining, manufacturing and waste management.  In many situations there is a inherit danger for people to be near the stockpiles.  Drones can make this a much safer as well as faster process for you.
